IMPLEMENTING UNMIK REGULATION NO. 1999/4 OF 2 SEPTEMBER 1999 ON THE CURRENCY PERMITTED TO BE USED IN KOSOVO

 

 

The Special Representative of the Secretary‑General,

 

Pursuant to the authority given to him under section 5 of United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) Regulation No. 1999/4 of 2 September 1999 on the Currency Permitted to be Used in Kosovo,

 

Hereby gives the following Administrative Direction:

 

 

Section 1

BUDGETS, FINANCIAL RECORDS AND ACCOUNTS

 

Pursuant to section 3 of UNMIK Regulation No. 1999/4 the budgets, financial records and accounts of public bodies, agencies or institutions and UNMIK shall be formulated in Deutsche Marks.

 

 

Section 2

COMPULSORY PAYMENTS AND ADMINISTRATIVE FEES

 

2.1     Pursuant to section 4.1 of UNMIK Regulation No. 1999/4, the designated currency to be used for compulsory payments shall be Deutsche Marks.

 

2.2     Pursuant to section 4.2 of UNMIK Regulation No. 1999/4, the administrative fee for a person wishing to make compulsory payments in Dinars shall be ten percent of the assessed compulsory payment.

 

2.3     Administrative fees and compulsory payments, if paid in Dinars, shall be calculated in accordance with the most recent reference exchange rate quoted by UNMIK.

 

 

Section 3

ENTRY INTO FORCE

 

This administrative direction shall enter into force on 4 October 1999.
