Peter N. Due Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) and Head of UNMIK Mr. Due has 30 years of wide-ranging experience in international peace and security. From 2019 to 2025 he served as the Director for Asia and the Pacific in the Departments of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and Peace Operations. Previously, he was the Director for Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America in the Department of Peacekeeping Operations from 2015 to 2019. Mr. Due also served as Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Office in Belgrade from 2013 to 2015, and he was a Political Affairs Officer with UNMIK in Pristina in 1999-2000. In New York, his positions have also included Chief of Office/Special Assistant to the Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, from 2009 to 2013, Team Leader for West Africa, from 2008 to 2009, and Team Leader for Europe and Latin America, in 2008. Early in his United Nations career, he served in Sierra Leone and in Liberia. In addition to his assignments with the United Nations, Mr. Due served with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Copenhagen and in Eritrea. Mr. Due holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom; a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, Switzerland; and a Master of Science degree in Social Science and Philosophy from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. In addition to his native Danish, he speaks English, French, and German. |

Milbert Dongjoon Shin Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General (DSRSG), UNMIK Milbert Dongjoon Shin was appointed as the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) on 24 July 2024. Mr. Shin brings to the position 30 years of wide-ranging experience in international peace and security, international law and human rights, including field experiences. Since 2022, he has served as Chief of the Rule of Law and Security Institutions Section in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS). Prior to that, Mr. Shin was Chief of Legal and Analysis Strategy and Chief of Investigations in the United Nations Investigative Team to Promote Accountability for Crimes Committed by Da’esh/ISIL (UNITAD) in Iraq. Previously, Mr. Shin was Chief of the Justice and Corrections Section in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA). Mr. Shin has also served as Chief of the Political Affairs Section in the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL), and earlier in his career, in UNMIK as Legal Adviser. In addition to his assignments with the United Nations, Mr. Shin worked with the United States Department of State in Washington, D.C. and was consultant to several multilateral and non-governmental organizations. Mr. Shin has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, in the United States, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in classics from Harvard College, also in the United States. He is fluent in English and French. |

Dominika Krois Representative of the Secretary-General (RSG) and Head of UNOB Dominika Krois was appointed as the Representative of the Secretary-General and Director of the United Nations Office in Belgrade (UNOB) on 3 December 2024. As the Representative of the Secretary-General, she oversees the Office’s activities in support of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) and relating to regional developments of special relevance to the work of the United Nations and UNMIK. She brings to the position over 25 years of experience in international diplomacy and security policy. Having served as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Poland to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Vienna, Austria, she was the Chair of the Main Committee II of the Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference, Chair of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs, Chair of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization Board, and member of the International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Governors. From 2011 to 2019 she worked at the European External Action Service in Brussels, Belgium, and at the Delegation of the European Union to the International Organizations in Vienna, Austria. In her extensive work with the Polish Foreign Ministry, she has gained valuable experience with EU integration processes and bilateral diplomacy. Ms. Krois holds a PhD and a Master's degree in law and administration at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. She holds a post graduate diploma from the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna. She is fluent in English, French, German, Polish, Russian and Serbian. |
