UNMIK deputy head meets Kosovo’s interior minister

12 November 2014 - The Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General (DSRSG) in Kosovo, Jennifer Brush, today met the Minister of Interior, Dr. Bajram Rexhepi.

They discussed and exchanged views on several issues related to the ministry’s work, including the challenges faced in implementing the Brussels Agreement, minority-related security incidents, recent incidents at the Decani Monastery, parallel structures in northern Kosovo, and arrests related to extremists and fighters from Kosovo in the Middle East. Notwithstanding the changed circumstances on the ground, he also acknowledged UNMIK’s continued role in supporting and facilitating inter-communal relations.
