PRISTINA – The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General (SRSG) in Kosovo, Farid Zarif, condemns in the strongest possible terms the 25 April attack on two vehicles from the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), as they travelled to Brnjak/Bërnjak. The United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) stands in solidarity with EULEX, and reminds those who would carry out such acts that they are understood as acts against the international community as a whole, as well as against all civilised human values. Such acts must never be tolerated, regardless of motive or circumstance.
UNMIK urges all persons to cooperate fully with the investigation by EULEX, so that those responsible for this terrible crime will be brought swiftly to justice.
