PRISTINA--- The Pristina Regional Administrator Mr. Jean Guinard, has strongly condemned the barbaric attack yesterday near Podujevo killing seven Kosovo Serbs and injuring dozens of others, including women and children.
“I wish to offer my deepest condolences to the families of the victims of this attack. We, in the Pristina Region, will do our utmost to provide all assistance, counselling and support to the victims and their families.
“I am outraged at the terrorist attack that undermines our efforts to bring peace and stability to Pristina Region and more generally to Kosovo. This cowardly act highlights the grave mistake that terrorist elements are making in alienating international support for Kosovars.
“I urge Kosovar political and civil society leaders to strongly voice their condemnation and horror at this act, which goes beyond ethnic boundaries and damages all Kosovars. It’s not simply an act of ethnic violence. This is terrorism.
“To fight terrorism we need the decisive support of all the local population, regardless of their ethnicity”.
