PRISTINA – SRSG Søren Jessen-Petersen issued the following message on the occasion of the end of the holy month of Ramadan:
“On behalf of UNMIK, I would like to warmly congratulate the members of the Islamic Community in Kosovo for the accomplishment of the holy month of Ramadan and on the occasion of the Fiter Bajram. It is the tradition that during this holy period people exchange visits and use this opportunity to make peace with each other and overcome their differences. May this Fiter Bajram be yet another step towards the full reconciliation among the people of all communities in Kosovo.
