PRISTINA – SRSG Søren Jessen-Petersen issued the following message on the occasion of the start of the holy month of Ramadan:
“I would like to congratulate all of Kosovo’s Muslims on the start of the holy month of Ramadan. This is a special month for Muslims, marked by fasting, sacrifice and devotion, and also by evening meals that gather family and friends.
“I sincerely hope that this month of peace and tolerance will bring all communities in Kosovo closer to each other, build bridges among people of different faiths and foster mutual respect among all of us.
“On this day, I extend my warmest wishes for peace and harmony – peace in your hearts and to your families and harmony within and among the communities that make up Kosovo’s rich cultural diversity.”
