PRISTINA – Acting on the instructions from SRSG Harri Holkeri, the Chairman of the KTA Board Nikolaus Lambsdorff today ratified 12 sales contracts of socially owned enterprises (SOEs) from the second wave of tenders in the privatisation process.
This brings the total number of enterprises sold to 16.
The sales contracts for these 12 enterprises were approved and executed following a decision of the KTA Board on 16 December 2003. The ratification of these contracts was undertaken in lieu of a resolution at a formally convened meeting of the KTA Board.
The SRSG noted that this was a positive signal that there was clear willingness to move the privatisation process forward. The SRSG also expressed his congratulations to the winning bidders of the 12 enterprises.
