KPS Static Guards to be reinstated in Government Buildings

PRISTINA – Further to the UNMIK Police Press Release titled ‘KPS Secondary Employment’ dated 2 February 2004.

The Head of Pillar I DSRSG Jean-Christian Cady today announced that the UNMIK Police Commissioner had agreed to reinstate the Kosovo Police Service static guards in the Government Buildings pending the signature of an agreement between UNMIK Police and the Ministry of Public Services for the payment of the services provided by KPS officers.

The decision follows assurances from the Ministry of Public Services on its willingness to reimburse KPS for the services provided.
