PRISTINA – The Department of Justice is opening two new Court Liaison Offices in the villages of Osojan/Osojane and Novak/Novake. This adds to the seven existing Court Liaison Offices functioning in areas of Kosovo where they are needed to facilitate access to justice for communities that are ethnic minorities in Kosovo.
The office in Osojan/Osojane opened today in the Primary School Radoš Tošiæ, and will operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 0900 hrs to 1500 hrs. The office can be contacted using the following telephone numbers: 063-8375-342 and 044-408-223.
Tomorrow, 23 September, the office in Novak/Novake will be opened. This office is located in the Secondary School and will be open to the public on Mondays and Fridays 0900 hrs to 1500 hrs. The office can be contacted using the following telephone numbers: 044-418-643 and 063-7816-487.
Seven other Court Liaison Offices are currently operating in Graçanicë/Gracanica, Novobërdë/Novo Brdo, Gorazhdevc/Goraždevac, Vrbovc/Verbovac, Hoça e Madhe/Velika Hoca, Priluzhë/Prilužje and Shillovë/Silovo.
Court Liaison Offices provide communities with services such as transport for parties to attend court proceedings; help with lodging civil and criminal claims; assistance with finding old claims from court archives; legal information on issues affecting refugees and internally displaced persons; facilitation of contract certification; referral and liaison with non-governmental organizations; and general support during the legal process.
