PRISTINA – US Secretary of State Colin L. Powell has congratulated the SRSG-designate Michael Steiner for his appointment as head of UNMIK.
In a letter to Mr. Steiner, Mr. Powell said, “Your broad diplomatic experience and many accomplishments in the Balkans make you highly qualified for this position. We look forward to working with you as we pursue our common goals”.
