At today's meeting of the Interim Administrative Council, regulations on a Central Election Commission and Political Party Registration were endorsed.
The regulations will be signed once screened by UN legal officers in New York.
The IAC also discussed the security situation in Mitrovica and in the Presevo area of southern Serbia, bordering Kosovo.
It was agreed that any further conflict will be in the interest of neither the population in the Presevo area, nor the people of Kosovo.
The IAC also discussed possible premises for the Joint Interim Administrative Structure departments.
Tomorrow, members of the IAC will meet with European Commissioner for External Affairs Christopher Patten, before attending a commemoration of International Women's Day at UNMIK headquarters.
