PRISTINA – The Department of Justice has opened a new Court Liaison Office (CLO) in Mitrovicë/Mitrovica and has moved the Court Liaison Office in Graçanice/Gracanica to a new location.
The new Court Liaison Office in Mitrovicë/Mitrovica is one of a series of new offices planned to be opened throughout Kosovo to facilitate access to justice for communities that are ethnic minorities in Kosovo. The office is located on King Peter street in Mitrovicë/Mitrovica in the same building as the Raiffeisen Bank, and will be open to the public Monday to Friday, from 8am to 4pm.
The office in Graçanice/Gracanica has now been moved to a new location 50 meters from the health house, and will be open to the public on Monday to Friday, from 8am to 4pm.
The two offices can be contacted at the following telephone numbers: 063/7874-689 for Mitrovicë/Mitrovica CLO and 038/64-248 for Graçanice/Gracanica CLO. Alternatively, both offices can be contacted through 038/504-604 Extension #6181.
Court Liaison Offices are currently operating in Graçanicë/Gracanica, Novobërdë/Novo Brdo, Gorazhdevc/Goraždevac, Vrbovc/Verbovac, Hoça e Madhe/Velika Hoca, Priluzhë/Prilužje, Shillovë/Silovo, Novak/Novake and Mitrovicë/Mitrovica. Additionally, the CLO staff from Gorazhdevc/Goraždevac extend similar services in Osojan/Osojane, where they are present every Wednesday from 8am to 4pm.
Court Liaison Offices provide communities with services such as transport for parties to attend court proceedings; help with lodging civil and criminal claims; assistance with finding old claims from court archives; legal information on issues affecting refugees and internally displaced persons; facilitation of contract certification; referral and liaison with non-governmental organizations; and general support during the legal process.
