Pristina - SRSG Michael Steiner today denounced the killing of Uke Bytici, President of the Suhareke/Suva Reka Municipal Assembly, and two other individuals this afternoon, describing it as “an appalling act of calculated murder.”
Immediately after learning of the incident, SRSG Michael Steiner contacted President Ibrahim Rugova to express his deepest condolences.
“This callous killing is particularly distressing after yesterday’s municipal elections in Kosovo, which were conducted so smoothly and without violent incident,” he said.
