PRISTINA – Today SRSG Michael Steiner met European Union ambassadors and the European Commission delegation, based in Belgrade, and heads of EU Liaison offices in Pristina and briefed them about the situation in Kosovo.
In the meeting that lasted more than an hour, SRSG Michael Steiner briefed the ambassadors on the current political, economic situation in Kosovo. He spoke again about UNMIK’s returns policy, emphasising his concept of sustainable returns. This was supported by the EU ambassadors.
During the meeting they also discussed the question of decentralization and the mission of the Council of Europe in this regard.
