PRISTINA – SRSG Michael Steiner attended the Serbian Orthodox Christmas morning service in the monastery in Gracanica today.
Following the Christmas ceremony, the SRSG was invited to a Christmas breakfast hosted by Bishop Artimije and attended by COMKFOR Lieutenant General Fabio Mini, members of the Orthodox clergy and citizens and children from Gracanica and its environs.
“We came here to join in this celebration for Christmas and to hear the message of new hope and reconciliation for all the people in Kosovo,” commented SRSG Michael Steiner following the church service. “This is a strong message, and if you look into the faces of those who took part in this celebration you can see that they personally have this hope and that they believe in it.”
