PRISTINA - SRSG Søren Jessen-Petersen expressed his sadness at the sudden passing of His Grace Bishop Mark Sopi, Roman Catholic Bishop of Kosovo. The SRSG extends his condolences, in his own name and on behalf of UNMIK, to Bishop Sopi’s family and the Roman Catholic community in Kosovo.
The SRSG noted with appreciation the many contributions made by Bishop Sopi to reconciliation and progress in Kosovo during his ministry.
