PRISTINA – Tomorrow SRSG Michael Steiner will meet the Special Coordinator for the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, Erhard Busek, and the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Paddy Ashdown, to discuss how to strengthen regional co-operation. The informal meeting takes place in the Austrian city of Salzburg upon invitation of the Special Coordinator for the Stability Pact.
Trade liberalization, the fight against organized crime, energy, return of internally displaced persons and media development are on the agenda of the meeting. The SRSG will also follow up on first results of the cigarette-smuggling conference that was held in Pristina in May and on the privatization of formerly owned state enterprises that is currently being launched in Kosovo.
The talks on regional cooperation follow visits by the SRSG to Sarajevo, Tirana, Belgrade, Skopje, and Podgorica.
