PRISTINA – SRSG Joachim Rücker issued the following message on the occasion of the start of the holy month of Ramadan:
“I would like to congratulate the members of the Islamic Community in Kosovo on the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.
“This is a special month for Muslims, marked by fasting, sacrifice and devotion, and also a time to strengthen family and community ties as people gather to share evening meals.
“On behalf of the United Nations Mission in Kosovo, I extend my warmest wishes for peace and solidarity during Ramadan, and throughout the year.”
