PRISTINA – SRSG Søren Jessen-Petersen today issued the following message on the occasion of the holiday of Kurban Bajram:
“On behalf of everyone in UNMIK I would like to offer my warmest congratulations on the holiday of Kurban Bajram.
Earlier today I had the opportunity of personally conveying my best wishes to Mufti Tërnava.
Today’s holiday is a time of generosity and sharing with family and friends, marked by acts of charity toward the less fortunate.
I hope the spirit of this holiday will strengthen the ties of friendship and peace among people of all faiths in Kosovo, and I would like to extend to all those of the Muslim faith my best wishes for a Happy Kurban Bajram.”
