Pristina - In response to questions concerning today’s meeting between Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Nebojsa Covic and SRSG Michael Steiner, UNMIK wishes to clarify that SRSG Michael Steiner did not discuss decentralization during the meeting.
What he actually stated was that he was, of course, prepared to outline UNMIK’s policy on decentralization at the next High-Ranking Working Group (HRWG) meeting.
He also made it clear that the policy itself was not open for negotiation.
