PRISTINA - Robert Sorenson, UNMIK Officer in Charge, expresses his deep concern for the ongoing situation in northern Kosovo and calls upon all parties to refrain from any action which could further exacerbate the situation.
UNMIK strongly condemns the violence and believes that dialogue based upon mutual respect is the way forward for resolving issues.
“UNMIK stands ready to assist in efforts to calm the situation. We call upon all parties to work with EULEX and KFOR to restore order and resolve issues through discussion and mutual understandings”, Mr. Sorenson said.
