PRISTINA – This evening, the Head of Pillar I DSRSG Jean-Christian Cady and PISG Minister of Public Services Jakup Krasniqi signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the provision of security services for Buildings of the Kosovo Government.
Welcoming the agreement, DSRSG Jean-Christian Cady said: “I am happy that the security of government buildings is now provided on a sound and stable basis.”
The Memorandum of Understanding clearly lays down the terms of deployment of KPS officers for physical security and access control duties at the PISG buildings. The agreement also provides for reimbursement by the Ministry of Public Services for the security services provided by the KPS officers under the secondary employment scheme. This includes payment of dues since 1 March 2002.
