SRSG Zahir Tanin welcomed Mr Nils Melzer, UN Special Rapporteur on Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment to UNMIK. Mr Melzer and SRSG Tanin discussed issues related to the Special Rapporteur’s mandate, human rights more generally, as well as recent political developments in Kosovo.
