SRSG Tanin condemns attack on RTK
23 August - The Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Zahir Tanin, condemns the attack on the premises of the Radio Television Kosovo (RTK) that took place yesterday evening.
On 29 July, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG), Mr. Zahir Tanin, and his Deputy, Mr. Christopher Coleman, visited Gjakovë/Đakovica Municipality and met with the Mayor and the Head of the Municipal Office for Communities and Return (MOCR). The officials discussed infrastructure development and the security situation in the Municipality as well as other issues pertaining to non-majority communities.

I welcome the publication of the Final Report of the Human Rights Advisory Panel (HRAP), submitted upon the completion of its activities in June 2016, and I express appreciation for the work of the Panel, which has performed its functions in a challenging context.

08 Apr 2016 - Pristina, 8 April 2016 - The Special Representative of the Secretary General (SRSG) in Kosovo, Zahir Tanin, takes note of the opinion of the Human Rights Advisory Panel in the complaint of N.M. and Others against UNMIK (no. 26/08).
SRSG Tanin will carefully study the Panel’s opinion and recommendations and will issue a decision in due course, according to established procedure.
26 Feb 2016 - Special Representative of the Secretary General (SRSG) in Kosovo, Zahir Tanin, welcomed the women attending the 2016 Global Open Day on Women, Peace and Security in Kosovo by urging them to speak up about the challenges that they face: “We want to hear directly from you as young women from across Kosovo. I encourage you to speak up about challenges that affect you as young women in Kosovo and to use this chance to share your ideas with us.”
