UNMIK Human Rights Office (HRO) regularly engages with several human rights bodies and institutions in Kosovo to promote and strengthen the implementation of applicable international and regional human rights norms. This includes engagement with the Office of Good Governance, Human Rights, Equal Opportunities, and Non-Discrimination (OGG); the Ombudsperson Institution of Kosovo (OIK); and the Assembly of Kosovo Committee on Human Rights, Gender Equality, Missing Persons, and Petitions.

UNMIK HRO facilitates coordination in the field of human rights between UNMIK, the UN Kosovo Team, and non-UN international actors operating in Kosovo, namely, the OSCE, EULEX, the Office of the EU Special Representative, and the Council of Europe, by participating in regular coordination meetings in Pristina and Mitrovica.
