15 May 2018 - To support the UN’s progress in supply chain management (SCM), the Logistics Support Division of the Department of Field Support (DFS) organised its fourth conference on the topic, held at UNHQ from 16-20 April 2018.
The theme of ‘Driving for Performance’ built upon last year’s conference, which focused on implementing the department’s SCM Blueprint.

On the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) and Head of UNMIK, Zahir Tanin, stated that “our thoughts are with the families and friends of persons still missing in Kosovo. The families have a right to know what happened to their loved ones. This is a fundamental human right”.
27 Feb 2017 - The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General (SRSG) in Kosovo, Zahir Tanin, highlighted to Security Council members today that resumption of top-level dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina was an “essential step” in renewed efforts to rebuild trust and confidence. In his regular update on Kosovo, SRSG Tanin welcomed discussions on implementation of the future Community/Association of Serb majority municipalities, central to the April 2013 agreement.

SRSG Tanin condemns attack on RTK
23 August - The Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Zahir Tanin, condemns the attack on the premises of the Radio Television Kosovo (RTK) that took place yesterday evening.
On 29 July, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG), Mr. Zahir Tanin, and his Deputy, Mr. Christopher Coleman, visited Gjakovë/Đakovica Municipality and met with the Mayor and the Head of the Municipal Office for Communities and Return (MOCR). The officials discussed infrastructure development and the security situation in the Municipality as well as other issues pertaining to non-majority communities.
