Beautiful Kosovo
Beautifying Kosovo, while creating new job opportunities, is the goal of the “EU-Beautiful Kosovo” project. Funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the initiative has created green spaces, renovated cultural centers, and engaged in other activities aimed at improving infrastructure.
In Kosovo, the unemployment rate is high at 35%, with even higher rates for women and youth. “EU-Beautiful Kosovo”, which has already created almost 2,000 new jobs, is doing its part to address that problem.
Encouraged by its initial success, the EU has launched the project’s second phase, which will last until 2016. Thirteen hundred new jobs are expected to be created, and Kosovo will become even more beautiful.
