UN Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations visits Pristina and Belgrade
On 5 and 6 June, ASG Mulet met separately
in Belgrade with the First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, Director of the Government Office for Kosovo Marko Djuric, other senior Serbian officials from the Defence and Foreign Affairs Ministries, and representatives of the diplomatic corps, to discuss the work of UNMIK and the much appreciated and increasing Serbian contributions to UN peacekeeping operations. Serbia currently contributes more than 200 military and police personnel to UN peacekeeping operations. In this connection, ASG Mulet also discussed with Serbian officials the high-level regional round-table on UN peacekeeping, which the United Nations Office in Belgrade (UNOB) plans to hold in October.ASG Mulet (right) and SRSG Zarif (second from right) meet with President Jahjaga (left)
