Today, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNMIK, Zahir Tanin, met with the President of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, Dr. Ekaterina Trendafilova.

President Trendafilova briefed SRSG Tanin on the preparatory work of the Specialist Chambers, as well as on her visit to Kosovo. SRSG Tanin and President Trendafilova had an exchange of views on issues related to the work of the Specialist Chambers, and discussed the importance of the Court.

During her visit to Kosovo, the first in her current capacity, President Trendafilova met with representatives of civil society and international organizations. She was accompanied on this visit, including in her meeting with SRSG Tanin, by the Registrar, Dr. Fidelma Donlon.
