UNMIK supports a mock trial for law students in North Mitrovica
26 June 2015 – UNMIK deputy chief, Jennifer Brush, attended a “mock trial” performed by North Mitrovica law students at the Basic Court courthouse in North Mitrovica.
The goals of the mock trial were to provide an opportunity to law students to practice law in a simulated proceeding and to promote the importance of young lawyers’ engagement in Kosovo’s law practice.
The event was organized by the NGO Advocacy Center for Democratic Culture (ACDC), under the supervision of advocates from northern Kosovo. It was the final event of a wider UNMIK-supported project on rule of law in northern Kosovo, which promoted cooperation among Kosovo-Albanian and Kosovo-Serb law graduates.
