On Monday 30 August, Mr. Miroslav Jenča, the UN Assistant Secretary-General from the Departments of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and Peace Operations, and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNMIK, Mr. Zahir Tanin, met with President Vjosa Osmani.

They discussed a wide range of issues such as the need for furthering the dialogue and inter-community trustbuilding as well as the challenges faced by Kosovo due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The commitment of Kosovo to the reform agenda and the rule of law was also discussed at the meeting. ASG Jenča underscored the UN’s support for people from all communities in Kosovo while President Osmani welcomed continued cooperation with the United Nations.
