The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNMIK, Caroline Ziadeh, welcomed Ms. Ivana Živković, Assistant Secretary-General (ASG), Assistant Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States to UNMIK Headquarters today.

SRSG Ziadeh highlighted UNDP’s continuous collaboration with UNMIK. The SRSG briefed ASG Živković on UNMIK's mandate, emphasizing the mission's focus on people-centered approach in trust-building, as well as importance of rule of law and justice.

The two principals stressed the importance of peace and stability for the advancement of development, economic growth and opportunities in Kosovo and beyond.
