On 13 February, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNMIK, Zahir Tanin met with the Mayor of Ranilug/Ranillug Vladica Aritonović.

During the meeting there was a fruitful discussion on many topics, including socio-economic development, inter-ethnic cooperation, gender equality and youth unemployment.

SRSG Tanin commended the municipality as a great example for excellent inter-community relations and for Mayor Aritonović’s efforts to include more youth and women within municipal structures.

SRSG Tanin and Mayor Aritonović agreed to further strengthen ongoing cooperation between UNMIK and the municipality.
