The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNMIK Zahir Tanin spoke with the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić on 13 April as part of his regular consultations in advance of the United Nations Security Council meeting on Kosovo.

SRSG Tanin and President Vučić exchanged views on issues related to the normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, with SRSG Tanin reiterating the United Nations’ commitment to support the EU-facilitated dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

They discussed the importance of continuing the dialogue, ultimately towards a comprehensive agreement, and to intensify the process to preserve and further regional peace and stability.
