SRSG Ziadeh holds consultative meetings in Berlin
PRISTINA, 7 December 2023 – Continuing outreach and consultations with the UN Member States, over the last two days in Berlin, SRSG and Head of UNMIK, Caroline Ziadeh, held a series of meetings with senior representatives of the German Chancellery and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
SRSG Ziadeh met with Alexander Wallau, Head of Chancellery’s Unit for Bilateral Relations with Countries of Central, Eastern and Southern Europe, Central Asia and South Caucasus, and Manuel Sarrazin, Special Envoy of Germany for the Western Balkans, Michael Reiffenstuel, Director for South-Eastern Europe, and Frédéric Jörgens, Deputy Head of Western Balkans Unit from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
They discussed the current situation and the efforts of international partners to support sustainable solutions for Kosovo’s further democratic development. SRSG stressed UNMIK’s continued support for the EU-facilitated Dialogue and the Mission’s people-centred approach in its work, focusing on inter-community trust-building and the promotion of human rights and the rule of law.
