25 March 2015 - How to reduce violence in schools, how to raise awareness about children’s eye-care or how to prevent early marriages among the Roma/Ashkali/Egyptian communities? These are examples of social problems that a group of 40 teenagers worked on, mid-March, during a two-and-half-day “Upshift” workshop organised by the UNICEF Innovations Lab. Each group developed its own project, mentored by the Lab. At the end of the workshop, five of the ten groups were awarded grants of up to 2,000 EUR and three months of mentorship to bring their project to life! Radio Ophelia attended the workshop, which was aimed at helping young people in Kosovo gain professional skills.
