Human Rights in action – UNMIK gives human rights students briefing for 18th year in a row

About 90 human rights university students from across the world heard directly from the Special Representative of the Secretary-General Caroline Ziadeh on the human rights work UNMIK undertakes on a daily basis.

The students, who visited the Mission HQ today along with Professor Marijana Grandits, are pursuing the European Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratization (EMA) and the Vienna Master in Applied Human Rights. They were able to participate in a question and answer session following the presentation on Mission activities, including its work to build trust among communities.

The briefing has become something of a tradition, with students in the Master’s programme having received the briefing each year for the past 18 years.
