SRSG Ziadeh met with the Bishop Dodë Gjergji to underscore the importance of ongoing interreligious dialogue
The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNMIK, Caroline Ziadeh, met today with Bishop Dodë Gjergji in Pristina. They discussed the current state of affairs within the Catholic community in Kosovo and the role of the Catholic community has in promoting interfaith relations.
SRSG Ziadeh expressed her appreciation to Bishop Gjergji for his strong commitment to building trust, tolerance, and coexistence among diverse religious communities in Kosovo. She reiterated the significance of these efforts in peace endeavors and their distinct capacity in driving positive change and attaining stability. SRSG Ziadeh also highlighted the importance of continuous interreligious dialogue aimed at enhancing mutual understanding, which is an integral part of UNMIK's work.
