This 12 November will mark 24 years since 24 peacekeepers, humanitarian aid workers, and flight 3275 crew members en route to Pristina from Rome lost their lives in a tragic plane crash on a mountain peak less than 50 kilometres from their destination.

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNMIK Ms. Caroline Ziadeh received today the Belgian Ambassador, Mr. Grégoire Cuvelier at UNMIK Headquarters.

At the biannual UN Security Council session on Kosovo today, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) Caroline Ziadeh highlighted the urgent need for concerted action and compromise to address the deteriorating security environment and to ensure peace and stability in Kosovo.
