The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNMIK, Zahir Tanin met Mayor Mytaher Haskuka and other officials of Prizren municipality on 26 July, as part of his commitment to engage with municipal and local actors across Kosovo.

During the meeting, SRSG Tanin and the Mayor exchanged views on a variety of issues pertaining to integration of communities, urban returns, socio-economic development and gender equality in the municipality, including the need for greater representation of women in leading positions in the municipal administration. Special attention was given to address issues related to the preservation of cultural and historical sites and the construction status of the museum for the Jewish community.
